Zeta Iota strives to play a significant position within the community through our many social and civic programs, we seek to enhance the lives of all through the utilization of our Cardinal Principals of MANHOOD, SCHOLARSHIP, PERSEVERANCE AND UPLIFT.
Greetings, and WELCOME to the official website of the Zeta Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.I am honored to represent the chapter as the current Chapter Basileus. Our chapter serves as a home for financial brothers demonstrating Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. Since chartered on September 12, 1941 we have been serving the City of Portsmouth and the wider communities. Many of our members are and have been history makers and impactful leaders in our community such as: the first African American Mayor of Portsmouth, City Manager, Sheriff and Assistant Superintendent of public schools. Though recognition is not our aim, we do seek to be assets rather than liabilities to our local citizens0.
Holding fast to our fraternal motto, “Friendship is essential to the soul,” we understand the importance of collaborative living.
